ITWorx Delivers du Online Shop Portal that Directs Delivery Service to Any Place Within UAE

du is the second telecommunication services provider in the United Arab Emirates. Their complete range of services includes mobile and fixed-line telephony, broadband internet, TV, video, and business solutions. They offer voice, data, video, and content services to residential and corporate customers over fixed and mobile networks.

With stores throughout the UAE showcasing and selling du products, du wanted an online extension for du stores to provide customers with a rich retail environment that emphasizes du brand and offers direct delivery service anywhere in the UAE. The required eShop will support du’s online existence by establishing and promoting product availability online.

ITWorx developed the du eShop portal application. du eShop is an eCommerce application featuring du products such as mobile lines and packages as well as the latest telecommunication products, including mobile handsets, accessories, and laptops. The portal consists of three (3) building blocks: front-end, content management backend, and order management system. eShop’s front-end targets the end-user through a user-friendly and easy-to-use interface. The content management module is responsible for handling products’ definition, categorization in the catalog, promotional offers’ creation, and bilingual content management. And finally, the order management system enables the retail team to receive, track, and manage customer purchase orders done from eShop’s front end. The order management system also provides stock management functionality and generates order and customer reports.

Due to the competitive nature of this project, the project had to address challenging functional and planning requirements. For instance, the portal’s launch date had to comply with du’s marketing campaign planning. The ITWorx team conducted thorough security and performance tests to guarantee the portal’s compliance with predefined standards. In addition, ITWorx assigned a dedicated usability team to ensure that both back-end and front-end users have a smooth and efficient portal experience.
